CHICAGO — Police are looking for a driver who hit and killed a bicyclist Thursday morning in East Side.
About 6:15 a.m., the driver hit the bicyclist in the 9900 block of South Avenue L, police said. The driver didn’t stop and hit the bicyclist.
The bicyclist died from their injuries, police said.
The driver was in a black SUV or van and went north on Avenue L, police said.
The bicyclist’s identity has not yet been released. But they are at least the second person a hit-and-run driver has killed this week in Chicago; on Wednesday night, a driver hit and killed 5-year-old Taha Khan in Edgebrook.
No further information was immediately available.
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call police at 312-745-4521.
