Driver Seriously Injures Cyclist In West Humboldt Park Hit-And-Run

The driver of a white Chevrolet SUV hit the cyclist July 27 in the 1300 block of North Kostner Avenue, police said.

WEST HUMBOLDT PARK — Police are searching for a hit-and-run-driver who seriously injured a cyclist last week in West Humboldt Park.

About 9 p.m. July 27, the driver of a white Chevrolet Traverse hit a bicyclist in the 1300 block of North Kostner Avenue, police said in a community alert. The driver didn’t stop or contact authorities.

The car’s model year is somewhere between 2004-2012, police said. It has a moon roof and tinted windows.

The car has damage to the front passenger side bumper and fender and is missing a passenger side mirror, police said.

The driver was last seen traveling north on Kostner Avenue toward North Avenue.

No further information was provided.
