ROGERS PARK — Neighbors can help Chicago Public Schools students get ready for a return to class by donating supplies at dropoff spots on the Far North Side.
The school supply drive runs through Aug. 19. What school supplies students need is broken down by age groups on the CPS website.
There are four sites to donate supplies. School supplies from a wish list here can also be ordered and shipped directly to the addresses below. Backpacks are most encouraged.
- 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at state Rep. Kelly Cassidy’s Office, 5533 N. Broadway.
- 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday at Women & Children First, 5233 N. Clark St.
- 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the 49th Ward office.
- 3-10 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. weekends at R Public House, 1508 W. Jarvis Ave.
CPS classes start Aug. 22.
More information about how to prepare for school — like enrollment procedures and health requirements — is available at CPS’ back-to-school website.
