CHICAGO — The Field Museum is offering free admission Friday for Chicago Public Schools students and their families.
The offer coincides with a day off from school for Vaccination Awareness Day. Families are encouraged to get vaccinated at one of the city’s free vaccination sites and then spend the rest of the day at the Field Museum.
CPS teachers can also get free admission to the museum with a CPS employee ID. The promotion will be available 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Proof of city residency is required to get free basic admission to the museum on Friday. Tickets are available in-person only and can’t be secured online.
Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Face masks are required for all museum visitors 2 and older, regardless of vaccination status.
