CHICAGO — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois will hold farmers markets and free vaccination clinics Thursday in Chicago.
Vendors will give away fresh, locally grown produce Thursday in Morgan Park and Little Village, according to a news release. Attendees also can be vaccinated for free against the flu, COVID-19 and pneumonia.
Events will be held noon-2 p.m. at 11840 S. Marshfield Ave. in Morgan Park and 1-3 p.m. at 2551 W. Cermak Road in Little Village.
Insurance enrollment specialists will be available to answer questions about health care programs, including Medicare and the open enrollment period. No Blue Cross membership is required for participation.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois will hold more events in December in Morgan Park, Little Village and Pullman.
