CHICAGO — Nonstop Christmas music returns to Chicago on Wednesday.

Starting 4 p.m. Wednesday, 93.9 Lite FM will play all holiday music through the end of 2021, the station announced Monday. The station traditionally plays only Christmas music November through January.

“As Chicago’s Christmas music station, 93.9 Lite FM is ready to spread holiday cheer, joy and hope across Chicagoland by playing everyone’s favorite Christmas tunes,” Mick Lee, program director and afternoon host, said in a statement to media reporter Robert Feder.

The earliest the station has launched its 24/7 Christmas music was Nov. 2 in 2006 and 2007, Feder noted.
