Socially Distanced Trick-Or-Treating Event Coming To Bucktown And Wicker Park

Twenty-five local businesses will give out candy around the park, while trick-or-treaters also can get candy from neighborhood stores.

WICKER PARK AND BUCKTOWN — Wicker Park and Bucktown businesses are holding a socially distanced trick-or-treating event for Halloween.

Twenty-five businesses will participate in the event 1-5 p.m. at the Bucktown Green, 1714 N. Hoyne Ave. behind the Bucktown-Wicker Park Library.

Each business will have individual stations to give out candy to the participants, while dozens of businesses in the neighborhood will give out treats at their stores. 

There will also be a Halloween photo wall with festive displays.

Admissions are timed for 20 families every 15 minutes. COVID-19 health and safety guidelines will be in place during the event.

This event is sponsored by Canine Crews, Rose Pest Solutions and Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33. Event partners are Bucktown Community Organization and Flowerlife.

Organizers are also looking for volunteers who can help at the event. People can sign up online to volunteer.
