LAKEVIEW — People can celebrate Halloween in East Lakeview this weekend with a family-friendly festival and trick-or-treating at local businesses.

The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its Lakeview Treats festival 3:30-5 p.m. Friday at Peace Park, at the corner of Clark and Grace streets.

Lakeview Treats will feature music, costumes, ballon animals, magic shows, photo opportunities and a DIY caramel apple stand run by local business Kilwin’s, 3519 N. Clark St.

Then, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m Sunday, the Little Monsters Crawl invites families to go trick-or-treating at local businesses. More than 70 local stores are participating, and many places will also have treats for adults, like coupons and food samples.

The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce put together an interactive map, allowing people to see which businesses are participating and what kinds of treats they’ll give out.

A list of participating businesses is also available on its website.
