AVONDALE — Revolution Brewery is introducing a beer for its partnership with the Chicago Fire for the 2022 season.

Hazy Pitch, a hazy pale ale, will be distributed starting in early 2022 in four-packs of 16-ounce cans. It will be available year-round throughout the Chicago area.

“We’re proud to brew every single Revolution beer right here in Chicago,” Chief Strategy Officer Doug Veliky said in a statement. “With a brewery full of soccer fans and the Fire’s commitment to the city, we’re excited to partner up and create the perfect beer for watching the action on the pitch.”

Chicago Fire supporters can get a first crack at the brew at a preview party Wednesday at Revolution’s taproom, 3340 N. Kedzie Avenue, during the team’s away match at FC Cincinnati.

“Revolution’s beer has long been a staple at Chicago Fire tailgates, and we can’t wait to see Hazy Pitch on store shelves and around Soldier Field on match day,” Kyle Sheldon, the Fire’s senior vice president of marketing, said in a statement.

The Hazy Pitch joins Rev Pils and Fist City in Revolution’s City Series, a collection of locally branded beers only available in Chicagoland.
