ROSELAND — Roseland Community Hospital is hosting events geared toward supporting community members throughout the holiday season.
The hospital is partnering with TIMMY’s Community Connection to host a coat drive 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the hospital, 45 W. 11th St., according to a news release. Organizers will give away 500 coats to adults and kids.
Supporters can still donate new coats or sign up to volunteer on the hospital’s website. Coats will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
For Halloween, the hospital will host Trunk or Treat 2-4 p.m. Oct. 31. The trick-or-treat alternative will feature cars decorated for the holiday, and families and children will be able to visit each car to get “healthier” treats and snacks, according to the news release. A prize will be awarded to the best-decorated car. You can sign up for the event online.
The hospital will partner with Hope x Rope for a Turkey Drive 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 20, donating 200 turkeys to families across Roseland on a first-come, first-served basis. More information is available on the hospital’s website about how to donate or sponsor a family for the holiday.
To wrap up the holiday season, the Hospital and Hope x Rope will collaborate again for the hospital’s annual Toy Drive. It will run 10 a.m.-noon Dec. 18, and 200 gifts will be donated to children and their families. There will be hot chocolate, raffles and a Christmas carol sing-a-long. Registration is required for each child, which can be done online.
