AVONDALE — Police released photos Thursday of two men they believe shot and critically injured another man in Avondale last month.
The shooting happened just after midnight Sept. 5 in the 2900 block of North Lawndale Avenue, police said.
A 22-year-old man was riding in the back of a car when two men riding on a motorcycle rode past and fired shots in the direction of the car, hitting the 22-year-old in the back of the head, according to police.
The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Police are now searching for the two men in the photos. Anyone with information about their whereabouts or the shooting is asked to call detectives (312) 746-6554 or submit a tip anonymously online.
