BRONZEVILLE — “Blacktober” is underway.
The virtual food festival — now in its second year — was created by Black People Eats Founder Jeremy Joyce to “bring awareness and revenue” to Black-owned restaurants across the city.
Throughout the month of October participating restaurants will offer discounts every weekend, but patrons must ask for the “Blacktober special” when ordering.
Here’s a list of restaurants in Bronzeville and South Loop to check out. For the full list, go to Black People Eats’ Instagram page.
