ROSCOE VILLAGE — People can support local schools next week by shopping in Roscoe Village.
More than a dozen Roscoe Village businesses are participating in the 13th annual Shop for Schools event, in which stores pledge to give 20 percent of their sales to local schools.
The two-day shopping event runs 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 6-7, according to the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce.

Shoppers can choose which school they’d like their money to go to when buying items. The chamber also will donate $6,000 to the six schools that raise the most money.
