NORTH CENTER — Neighbors will be able to enjoy live music, food and craft beer in the newly redesigned North Center Town Square this weekend.
North Center Homecoming kicks off noon Saturday at 4100 N. Damen Ave. Organizers from the North Center Chamber of Commerce are asking for a $5 donation, and all proceeds will support the chamber’s initiatives and community programming.
“We’re excited to welcome the community to explore the new space and meet with friends and neighbors in a safe outdoor setting,” said Eileen Keleghan, the chamber’s executive director.
The $2 million square opened to the public last year
Performances by The Black Oil Brothers, Big Fans, the Original Big Shoulders Jazz Band and more are scheduled. There also will be activities and prizes for children.
Tamales Express will be on site and the festival organizers are encouraging people to order takeout from their favorite North Center restaurants. Draft beer will be on tap from Twisted Hippo Brewing, Burning Bush Brewery and Begyle Brewing. Cider, wine, hard seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages will also be sold.
