NORWOOD PARK — The neighborhood’s annual Fall Fest returns this weekend, and organizers need volunteers to help with the two-day festivities.
The Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce, which puts on the fest every year, is looking for people to manage vendor tables, welcome guests, supervise kids’ entertainment activities and more.
Volunteer slots range from two to three hours. The chamber will give out service hours to any middle school or high school kids working the kids’ entertainment area. People can sign up to volunteer online.
Fall Fest runs 5-10 p.m. Friday and 12-10 p.m. Saturday between Northwest Highway and Raven to Newark and Centennial Park.
It will feature live bands, food, a beer garden, nearly 20 vendors, children’s games, a children’s DJ, face painters, free crafts and more, according to the event page.
The kids entertainment corner will feature Irish dance performances, a magic show, a mummy wrap game and carnival games.
The event is free but there is a $5 suggested donation for admission, and cash will be required to buy beer. Illuminated Brew Works, the neighborhood’s first brewery that opened this summer, will be on tap at the fest.
