STREETERVILLE — A Streeterville talent showcase is back for its second edition.

Nonprofit Streeterville Organization of Active Residents, or SOAR, is hosting its annual Got Talent Fun-raiser, and seeking submissions through Sept. 30.

To participate, competitors should upload a three-minute (maximum) video audition of their performance. Contestants can be both amateur or professional, but performers under 18 must have parental permission.

The competition is open to Streeterville residents, business owners, workers, visitors and tourists. Singing, dancing, music and other talents are welcome.

Once all of the videos have been collected and reviewed, SOAR’s Streeterville’s Got Talent committee will narrow the list to the top 20. Videos will then be available online for public voting Oct. 4. That list will then be cut down to 10 semi-finalists.

A second round of public voting will begin Oct. 14 to select three finalists. The winner will be announced at an Oct. 28 event and win $1,000. More details will be announced later.

Each vote cast is a $5 donation to SOAR. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Chicago Police Department’s Foundation.

You can find all of the information, including the competition application, its full set of rules, sponsors of the event and more online.
