LINCOLN SQUARE — After months of renovations, the former Huettenbar reopened Thursday as the Lincoln Square Taproom.
The bar at 4721 N. Lincoln Ave. offers neighbors Märzen-style beers from local breweries, like Maplewood and Old Irving Brewing, just in time for Oktoberfest.
Huettenbar closed late last year. Lincoln Square Taproom owner Andrew Pillman overhauled the space to make it more modern while preserving as much of Huettenbar’s old-world charm.
The taproom’s menu includes a traditional cider from Eris Brewery And Cider House, Dovetail Brewery’s Kriek Lambic and Half Acre’s Märzen Lager Town on tap, as well as Malört.
“After all of our planning, we are thrilled to be opening up in the neighborhood. And to top it off, we get to open during Lincoln Square‘s unique German-American Oktoberfest,” Pillman said.
For more information on the taproom’s hours and rotating menu of beers and ciders on tap, visit its website and Facebook page.
