HERMOSA — Neighbors are invited to clean up Hermosa’s Armitage Avenue this weekend.
The Hermosa Neighborhood Association is hosting the cleanup. Interested volunteers should meet 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stock n’ Save, 4535 W. Armitage Ave. The cleanup will go until 1 p.m.
All supplies, including gloves and garbage bags, will be provided.
This is one of many cleanups the Hermosa Neighborhood Association is hosting this year. The neighborhood group has three cleanups lined up for Kelvyn Park: Sept. 4, Oct. 2 and Nov. 2.
The group has organized cleanups since its inception in 2014, member Lee Helmer said.
At this weekend’s event, Hermosa residents can pick up free lawn signs that urge neighbors to pick up after their pets and not to litter. The signs can also be delivered to residents’ homes.
