CHATHAM — Students can prep for a return to learning by grabbing a “swag bag” at a local back-to-school giveaway.
Chatham families can get free school supplies at the event, which runs 10 .am.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Discover Call Center parking lot, 8560 S. Cottage Grove Ave. The main entrance is located on East 87th Street between South Langley and South Cottage Grove avenues.
More than 3,000 backpacks filled with rulers, colored pencils, markers, a water bottle and more will be available.
The giveaway will be a walk-up and drive-thru event.
Students do not need to be present, and there will be no limits while supplies last.
