LOGAN SQUARE — Lucha Libre In the Park is coming back to Logan Square next month after the pandemic canceled last year’s edition.
The event starts noon Sept. 4 at Unity Park, 2636 N. Kimball Ave. It features Lucha Libre wrestlers — also called luchadores — who perform complex, acrobatic moves while wearing colorful masks and costumes. It’s hosted by the Unity Park Advisory Council.
Previous years have featured family-friendly pop-up wrestling matches with luchadores for the community to enjoy.
Masks will be required. Unity Park Advisory Council will release more details on the schedule closer to the event.
