WEST LOOP — Residents who live near Mary Bartelme Park are about to get a new grocery store.

GoGrocer, a Chicago chain of independent grocery stores, will open Friday at 205 S. Peoria St. The location marks GoGrocer’s 15th store in Chicago.

“We are super excited to open,” said owner Greg Stellatos.

Stellatos said the West Loop location has been among the “most anticipated openings.”

The stores are known for their fresh, ready-made sandwiches, salads and wraps, in addition to a selection of produce and grocery items.

Within the store’s small footprint, GoGrocer carries about 5,000 items, Stellatos said.

Brothers Greg and Paul Stellatos founded GoGrocer in 2008 in Wicker Park at 2060 W. North Ave.

The brothers will launch a free delivery service in the next month. All products will be available for delivery in under 30 minutes, Greg Stellatos said.

The West Loop location will be open 8 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.
