THE LOOP — This weekend’s Sundays on State will feature more than 70 performances, vendors, retailers and activities.
The festival runs 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday on State Street in The Loop, according to a news release. The free weekly fest is put together by the Chicago Loop Alliance.
This week’s entertainers include Freakeasy and DJ Seasonal Frequency. There will be pop-up karaoke as well as a Macy’s fashion show in its iconic State Street window.
There will be a barre fitness class by Bar Method Gold Coast; participants should bring their own own mat or towel. There also will be a live caricature artist and a behavioral science discovery center from the University of Chicago.
Food will be available from nine vendors, including Ms. Tittle’s Cupcakes and The Fat Shallot.
Free, walk-up coronavirus vaccines will be administered by Walgreens in front of its State and Madison location.
The festival will continue Sundays until Sept. 12, excluding Aug. 1 and Aug. 15.
Registering online for Sundays on State automatically puts attendees in a drawing for a $1,000 Loop staycation package.
