CHICAGO — PAWS Chicago is hosting a pet photo contest — and the winners will be featured in a calendar and on the shelter’s website.

The contest, dubbed Vanity Fur, asks Chicagoans to send in photos of their pets and a description of why their furry friend should win, according to a PAWS email newsletter. People then vote on the best photos.

One dog and one cat who get the most votes will win. They’ll be featured as a Pet of the Week in PAWS’ desktop calendar and on the shelter’s social media pages.

You can enter the contest online. Vanity Fur’s deadline is 9 a.m. July 30.

Entering the contest is free.
