Pullman Historic District’s Arcade Park Hosts ‘Life Out Loud’ Storytelling Event Saturday Night

Pullman residents can enjoy a night of stories and popcorn on Saturday at the fourth annual Life Out Loud event. The event will take place between 8-10 p.m. at Arcade Park, 11132 S. St. Lawrence Ave.

Designed by Nathan Barrett, Arcade Park was a formal garden for residents to use for leisure in the company town of Pullman.

PULLMAN — If you miss the joys of gathering around a campfire and telling stories under starlight, prepare to feel all the feels.

Pullman residents are invited to grab a bag of freshly popped popcorn and get cozy under the stars for a night of storytelling at the fourth annual Life Out Loud event.

On Saturday, neighbors can visit Arcade Park, 11132 S. St. Lawrence Ave., 8-10 p.m. to hear true-life stories from fellow Chicagoans. The event is free and open to the public.

Speakers are still under wraps, but guests can expect to hear tales of loss, love, bizarre coincidences, clown adventures and more. Stories are adult-themed, so children are encouraged to stay at home.

Fresh popcorn and lemonade are on the menu for the night, but neighbors are welcome to bring their favorite storytime snacks.

Cozy blankets and comfortable chairs are strongly recommended.
