Logan Square Hit With String Of Garage Burglaries, Police Say

Four break-ins have hit the neighborhood since June 22. In all, someone "appeared to target bicycles," police said.

LOGAN SQUARE — Police are warning residents to be on alert after a string of garage burglaries in Logan Square.

At least four garage burglaries have occurred since June 22, police said in a community alert Thursday. In all the incidents, someone broke into a garage and “appeared to target bicycles” before fleeing the scenes, police said.

The burglaries happened:

  • June 22 in the 2000 block of North Kedzie Avenue between 8:30 a.m-1:30 p.m.
  • June 24 in the 1900 block of North Albany Avenue at 5:16 a.m.
  • June 29 in the 2000 block of North Whipple Street at 2 a.m.
  • July 2 in the 2300 block of North Spaulding Avenue between 3:45-3:50 a.m.
