NORTH CENTER — The pedestrian-friendly town square in North Center will host a free concert series this summer.
The first of four concerts will begin 7 p.m. July 14 at the town square, 4100 N. Damen Ave. People are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket when they come for the live music.
The schedule:
• July 14: The Polkaholics
• July 28: Adjacent Cruise
• Aug. 11: Ludlow
• Aug. 25: Black Oil Brothers
Face coverings are optional for fully vaccinated guests. Social distancing between parties is encouraged.
The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce is organizing the series. It’s supported in part by a grant from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and funding from the Walder Foundation.
