HYDE PARK — About two dozen Hyde Park businesses will participate in a job fair next week at Harper Court, looking to hire for retail and restaurant positions.
The Hyde Park is Hiring event will take place 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday outdoors at 5235 S. Harper Court. Applicants are encouraged to register in advance through the event’s website.
More than 20 neighborhood businesses — including the Silver Room, Trader Joe’s, the Revival Theater and Stan’s Donuts — will be there.
Available positions include front- and back-of-house restaurant work, office and hotel work, retail cashiers, baristas, fitness coaches, a tech booth operator and more.
The University of Chicago’s commercial real estate and civic engagement offices organized the event with several neighborhood economic organizations and the offices of Alds. Sophia King (4th) and Leslie Hairston (5th).
