WICKER PARK —An indoor mini-golf course in Wicker Park is teaming up with local health care provider Aayu Clinics to host a coronavirus vaccination event next week.
From 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, anyone can go to The Big Mini, 1302 N. Milwaukee Ave., to get a free vaccination. Participants of the Shot for Shot event also will receive a pass for a free round of golf, which can be redeemed at a later date.
The clinic is offering the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. People can get their second dose by appointment at Aayu Clinics.
On vaccination day, participants will get a shot at the course’s 10th hole, where they can win prizes ranging from a drink to merchandise.
“We’re hopeful we can get a number of people — especially those who may be on the fence or haven’t been able to find the time to do so — vaccinated that day with a slight nudge,” said Nick Jenkins, co-owner of The Big Mini.
Walk-ins are welcome. You can also sign up online.
