LINCOLN SQUARE — Lincoln Square residents will have to wait until 2022 for the neighborhood’s summer concert series to return.
The event, which brings free shows to Giddings Plaza Thursday nights in the summer, has been called off for 2021, according to an announcement on the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce website.
The event also was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Although coronavirus restrictions are loosening, several neighborhood events have chosen to wait another year to return, including Midsommarfest in Andersonville, the Logan Square Arts Fest, the Silver Room Block Party in Hyde Park and Do Division in West Town.
Also like last year, the chamber of commerce is running the Lincoln Square Farmers Market in the parking lot off the Western Brown Line stop. That’s running Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons through November at Lincoln and Leland avenues, with capacity limits, mask requirements and more options for electronic payment.
