WEST TOWN — United Tires is offering a free oil change and tire inflation to people who have been vaccinated against coronavirus.

Through May 17, customers who have completed their vaccination can receive some services for free at United Tires’ West Town shop, 2720 W Grand Ave., or its Dunning location, 3613 N. Harlem Ave.

Customers must make an appointment online.

The service giveaway was inspired by a March survey by Hankook Tires that found 70 percent of American drivers had not checked their tire pressure in 30 days.

For people who are returning to pre-pandemic commutes, tire and oil maintenance is “vital,” United Tires co-owner Mike Skoropad said in a news release.

“We hope that this offer will be a nice reward for people getting vaccinated, and will help make Chicago’s roads that bit safer in the coming months,” he said.
