- Credibility:
Block Club Chicago’s “It’s All Good” podcast is out with Episode 3!
The episode’s title is “The Barber and the Voice” and focuses on David McDonald, an accomplished barber who moved 1,300 miles away from the sun-kissed sands of West Palm Beach, Florida, to Chicago in 2019. He now drives around, giving free haircuts to anyone in need, though he can most frequently be found in the heart of Englewood.
The episode also features good news from across the city, including from listener Katie Yohe. She tells host Jon Hansen that A.B.L.E Ensemble, a Chicago nonprofit that creates theater projects for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual and developmental differences, is celebrating five years in a big way.
Also, reporter Alex V. Hernandez got great news from an avid reader, in the form of an unusual gift. Stories from Mina Bloom, Colin Boyle and Jake Wittich are also featured.
