LINCOLN SQUARE — Smoke shop Canna Bella Lux is hosting a socially distanced 4/20 mixer followed by a screening of “Mean Girls” at the Davis Theater.

The Weed Girls event starts 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carbon Arc Bar, 4620 N. Lincoln Ave., before moving next door for the movie. Tickets for the event are $40 and can be bought here. Masks will be required and coronavirus social distancing rules will be in effect.

“I created this femme-forward event because I felt like something like this was missing on 4/20,” said Tiffany Woodman, Canna Bella Lux’s owner.

The ticket price includes a swag bag with cones from Canna Bella Lux, popcorn from The Davis Theatre and Beboe items.

Woodman opened her boutique cannabis store last year because she wanted to create a welcoming space for people interested in recreational cannabis after it became legal in Illinois.

“We’re catering to a community that is asking for this. Tuesday’s event is a pure mixer to have fun,” Woodman said. “I’m so excited to have a bunch of femme-forward people get together with no pressure and just hang out.”
