CHICAGO — Young people looking for work this summer can now apply for the One Summer Chicago program.
The program provides tens of thousands of Chicago youths 14-24 years old with paid summer jobs and internships in areas like health care, coding and technology, according to a Mayor’s Office news release.
Eligible people can apply online through June 11. There are more than 21,000 spots available for this summer.
The program runs July 5-Aug. 13. Most of the jobs require youths to work 20-25 hours per week, according to the Mayor’s Office. Young people are paid for their work through the program.
Jobs and life-skills training provided through the program can be done remotely or in a safe, socially distant way due to the pandemic, according to the Mayor’s Office.
