BRIGHTON PARK — Brighton Park residents interested in getting vaccinated against COVID-19 can register Thursday.
Increase the Peace and the Resurrection Project will register Brighton Park residents for the vaccine 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Collaborative Institute of Cultural Arts Center, 4330 S. Archer Ave.
Any residents 18 or older who live in Brighton Park are able to register for a vaccine appointment at St. Anthony Hospital.
Last month, Increase the Peace hired seven Youth Asset Ambassadors to sign up residents for vaccine appointments.
Since launching the program two weeks ago, the seven youths have signed up more than 1,000 Back of the Yards residents at grocery shops, taquerias and other popular spots, said Berto Aguayo, executive director of Increase the Peace.
