CHICAGO — Looking for a great perk to offer your team at work or school?

Block Club Chicago, the award-winning nonprofit news site focused on Chicago’s neighborhoods, now has group subscriptions available at discounted prices.

Send this to your boss and talk them into it. Are you the boss? Be the hero.

A group account can be paid by a single administrator and offered to multiple people in your organization. It’s an inexpensive way to keep up with what’s happening in your neighborhood and to share a bond with your teammates.

It’s simple to get started. Just send a note to and let us know how many people would like access. We’ll get right back to you with a subscription package and price.

We can provide subscriptions to specific email addresses, give you a code to share or let in anyone with your organization’s email domain. Whichever works best for you.

Block Club is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) newsroom that is 70 percent funded by our readers through subscriptions and individual donations. We also get support from charitable foundations. And we sell cool merch.

We put all of the money back into our journalism — and we want to grow. The more subscribers we get, the more reporters we’ll hire! So please reach out about getting a group subscription for your school, law firm, PR firm, brewery, chamber of commerce, whatever.

Subscribers get access to all of stories as well as our neighborhood newsletters. We’ll bring you stories from right in your neighborhood and introduce you to neighborhoods around the city.

So reach out to and join the club!
