LOGAN SQUARE — Police are warning business owners to be on high alert after a string of armed robberies in Logan Square and Wicker Park over the last week.
In all of the incidents, two men, one of them armed, are accused of breaking into businesses and stealing money from the cash register and employees before getting into their car and driving off, police said in a community alert issued Tuesday.
Police believe the men drive a gray or silver Lexus vehicle with a temporary license plate.
The robberies happened:
- March 10 around 8 p.m. in the 2100 block of West North Avenue
- March 15 around 5 p.m. in the 3700 block of West Lyndale Street
- March 15 at 5:07 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Central Park Avenue
