CHICAGO — Any resident of certain South and Southwest side ZIP codes can get an appointment to get vaccinated at the United Center.
A flyer from the city being shared by The TRiiBE and others on social media says people who live in the 60608, 60619, 60620, 60649 or 60652 ZIP codes can sign up online or by calling 312-746-4835 to get an appointment at the mass vaccination site. Anyone who lives in those areas is eligible, but people do need an appointment to get a shot at the site.
To sign up online, go here and use the code “CCVICHICAGO.”
The site checks if a person is eligible by asking for their address, including an eligible ZIP code. People who sign up but do not live in an eligible area will have their appointment canceled, according to the flyer.
Officials touted Tuesday how about 50,000 people have already been signed up to get shots at the United Center mass vaccination site. They’ve said they were saving spots for people who live in Protect Chicago Plus communities to ensure the hardest-hit residents would get vaccinated.
But the signup process has been mired in confusion and chaos.
