ANDERSONVILLE — Andersonville Restaurant Week has expanded into a month-long event with takeout specials.
At least 17 restaurants are offering special prix fixe meals to go as part of this year’s Andersonville Restaurant Week, which has been revamped due to the pandemic. The event is being held to boost restaurant business during a trying time for the industry.
Each week through March, a rotating series of restaurants will offer special dinners for one or two people. They can be ordered online and picked up Wednesdays and Thursdays. Participating restaurants include Big Jones, Svea, Bettie Lou’s and First Slice Pie Cafe.

While some Andersonville restaurants have returned to indoor dining, the Restaurant Week specials will be takeout-only to make the promotion as accessible as possible, said Joelle Scillia, Andersonville Chamber of Commerce marketing director.
“We want to continue to promote COVID-safe alternatives to Andersonville event favorites, and are excited to expand Andersonville Restaurant Week to an entire month to maximize the experience at home for everyone,” Scillia said in a statement.
The weekly specials will go on sale two weeks prior, and orders must be placed by the Monday of the week they are to be picked up. Week 1 specials are on sale now and must be ordered by Monday to be picked up March 3-4.
