Smashing Pumpkins, Fall Out Boy, Taylor Bennett Part Of Virtual Festival To Support Chicago Venues

Some of the proceeds will benefit the Chicago Independent Venue League Emergency Relief Fund, National Independent Venue Association and music therapy foundation Nordoff Robbins.

CHICAGO — While festivals are an indefinite hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic, a slew of musicians are set to perform in a virtual music festival this weekend, with some of the proceeds going to support local venues.

The Smashing Pumpkins, Fall Out Boy, Taylor Bennett, Twin Peaks, Charli XCX and more than 25 others will play on the JBTV Revolution Television Virtual Festival. It kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday.

Awolnation, Filter, The Ting Tings, Frank Turner, Gary Numan, The Wombats, Arizona, Alt-J, Atlas Genius and Bad Suns are also among the acts.

The concert will stream exclusively at TIXR.com. Single-day tickets are $12. Festival passes are $20 and let the buyer watch the shows for seven days on demand.
