NORTH CENTER — The North Center Chamber of Commerce wants neighbors to support local shops and restaurants to when buying the perfect last minute Valentine’s Day gift.
To help neighbors shop local, the chamber curated unique gifts, treats, meal kits and more from North Center shops and restaurants at northcenter.market.
Some of of the items on sale include boyfriend bath bombs from Canna Bella Lux for $11, a 4-pack of Imperial Milk Stout with Raspberry with 2 chocolate chip cookies from Burning Bush Brewery for $26, a duck meal kit from L&M Fine Foods for $76, and more.
Orders will be accepted through Friday for pickup at each merchants’ location between Thursday and Sunday.
The average American will spend $161.96 on Valentine’s Day, according to a 2019 study by the National Retail Federation.
Shopping local, independent businesses during the pandemic can have a huge impact when local shops and restaurants need support the most.
“With so many people out shopping for that perfect gift or looking to create that perfect date night, we encourage people to explore some awesome options to do just that in North Center,” said Lindsay Eanet, the chamber’s executive director.
