WICKER PARK — A national bakery chain specializing in vegan cinnamon rolls is opening a location in Wicker Park.
Cinnaholic, 1295 N. Milwaukee Ave., will open 11 a.m. Feb. 19, the business announced in a Facebook post.
Cinnaholic — which started in Berkeley, California, in 2010 — sells vegan products like cinnamon rolls, according to the company’s website. Customers can choose from 40 frostings or toppings.
The Wicker Park store will be the company’s first Chicago location.
Franchisee Stephen Lotho is a West Loop resident. In an email, he said he enjoys riding his bike along Milwaukee Avenue, hanging out in Wicker Park spots like Wormhole Coffee and eating at Dimo’s Pizza, No Bones Beach Club and Handlebar.
“I frequent Wicker Park. It is my like my second home,” he said. “We are looking forward to getting to know our business neighbors and the community. We hope to help and promote a family friendly environment.”
