LOGAN SQUARE — Jeni’s is now serving up its inventive ice cream in Logan Square.
The chain on Friday opened its latest scoop shop in the massive development that replaced the Megamall at 2512 N. Milwaukee Ave. The shop is now open noon-10 p.m. seven days a week for indoor service, contactless pickup and delivery.
The Logan Square Jeni’s is the chain’s eighth Chicago-area outpost.
Logan Square patrons can expect the same imaginative flavors found at all of the other Jeni’s locations like Brambleberry Crisp, Texas Sheet Cake and the Everything Bagel. The latter recently went viral.
Jeni’s was founded by award-winning ice cream maker Jeni Britton Bauer. Bauer opened her first shop in Columbus, Ohio in 2002.
Jeni’s is the latest retailer to move into Logan Apartments, the largest retail/residential development in Logan Square. Target, Big Wig Tacos, Jersey Mike’s Subs, K-Fire Korean BBQ and Verizon have all moved into the building in recent months. A modern Greek restaurant from husband-and-wife chefs is set to open in the building this week.
