Robbers Targeting CTA Train Riders At California And Logan Square Blue Line Stations, Police Say

Three robberies have been reported at the train stations since Sunday, police said in a community alert Wednesday.

LOGAN SQUARE — Chicago police are warning residents to be on alert after a string of robberies targeting CTA train riders in Logan Square.

Three robberies have been reported at the California and Logan Square Blue Line stations since Sunday, police said in a community alert Wednesday.

In each of the incidents, one or two robbers approached the victim, who was either on the train or standing on the train platform, and stole the victim’s cell phone and money before running off or hopping on the train.

The robberies happened:

  • 6:40 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 2200 block of North California Avenue
  • Between 2-2:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 2200 block of North California
  • 12:31 a.m Feb. 2 . in the 2600 block of North Milwaukee Avenue
