BUCKTOWN — Free coronavirus testing and other health services will be available this week at Lincoln Yards.
Free drive-up and walk-up COVID-19 and HIV testing will be available 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday. The event will take place in the parking lot south of Fleet Fields, 1684 N. Throop St., on the Bucktown side of the Lincoln Yards development.
Masks and other personal protective equipment will be given away, and training on how to administer Narcan — used to treat someone experiencing a narcotic overdose — will be available.
Participants should bring an ID and insurance information if available, but these materials are not required for service, Sterling Bay spokeswoman Julie Goudie said in an email.
The COVID-19 test is a nasal swab and results can be expected in three to seven days.
The event is co-sponsored by Sterling Bay, the 2nd Ward office, Meridian Health, Family Christian Health Center, the Illinois Department of Public Health, several neighborhood associations and local chambers of commerce.
