EDGEWATER — Free coronavirus tests will be available at a pop-up next Saturday in Edgewater.
The testing pop-up will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the parking lot of Ismaili Community Center and Jamatkhana, 6259 N. Broadway. It’s drive-up and walk-up.
Testing will be available to those 5 and older. Registration for the event is preferred, and neighbors can register here. Walk-ups will be permitted while supplies last, according to organizers.
COVID-19 tests will be free and available regardless of immigration status. Health insurance is not required to get a test, although those with insurance are asked to bring their card.
Those with a valid identification card are asked to bring it to the appointment, but an ID is not required for a test.
The testing center is organized by the Ismaili Community Center, Near North Health Service Corporation and Ald. Harry Osterman’s (48th) office. Osterman’s staff will give away masks at the pop-up.
