LAKEVIEW — Neighbors can support East Lakeview restaurants through a new Takeout Thursdays initiative by the local business chamber.
Every Thursday, the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce will encourage neighbors to order takeout from a restaurant within the chamber’s boundaries. But people can participate in the program any day of the week.
Anyone who participates at least five times Jan. 14-Feb. 25 can submit their receipts to info@lakevieweast.com for a chance to win a $100 Lakeview East gift card.
The program is meant to generate support of small-business restaurants, which are struggling because of the coronavirus pandemic.
People participating in the takeout program are encouraged to promote it online by tagging @LakeviewEast, #LovinLakeview or #TaekoutThursdays in their post.
