ROGERS PARK — Jarvis Square businesses are using their outdoor space to host craft fairs on Sundays through Christmas.

The fairs will run 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 20 in the 1500 block of West Jarvis Avenue. The block is home to R Public House, Jarvis Square Tavern and Charmers Cafe.

The block is partially closed as part of the city’s expanded outdoor dining program. Some of that space is being used to house the craft fair.

The fair will feature local crafters and artisans who will set up outdoors in heated tents. Booths will be socially distanced, according to organizers.

Vendors on Sunday will include Windy City Bells (holiday decorations), Gnome Depot Fiber (knitwear) and Dead on Damen Ave, the people behind Rogers Park’s biggest and scariest Halloween display (selling hand-knotted holiday wreaths).

Charmers Cafe, a longstanding local coffee shop under new ownership, has turned its seating area into a gift shop, which is also stocked with holiday-appropriate gifts. Charmers’ gift shop will be open during the craft fair.
