ENGLEWOOD — Englewood leaders will give away 200 hot meals Friday.
Residents can stop by Cafe 75, 7550 S. Halsted St., at 3 p.m. Friday to receive a free dinner. They’ll have a choice between smothered chicken and rice or catfish and fries. Entrées will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
The Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce and Ald. David Moore (17th) are organizing the event. The chamber will also give away winter coats, hats, gloves, socks and personal protective equipment until supplies last.
For more information, contact the Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce at 312-768-8573.
