LINCOLN SQUARE — Lincoln Square’s Taco In A Bag closed its doors Friday.
Restaurant leaders announced the closure in an Instagram post and Facebook video thanking customers for “a long 10 years” but they “sadly need to close our doors.” The video also promised “we will be back … promise!” but didn’t provide any other details.
Messages left with owners asking about the closure and the business’s future were not immediately returned.
Former competitive eating champs Pat “Deep Dish” Bertoletti and Tim “Gravy” Brown originally opened the restaurant at 4603 N. Lincoln Ave. in 2015, relocating from West Dundee.
On their opening day of business, they had so many customers that they sold out of their signature “walking tacos.”
