CHICAGO — The city is getting the season’s first hints of snow Monday morning, but the city should brighten up later in the week.

Monday will be chilly and cloudy, with light snow in the morning that will turn into rain, according to the National Weather Service. The rest of the day will be cloudy and windy, with gusts up to 20 mph, and it is only expected to get as warm as 43 degrees.

The morning’s light snowfall was expected to leave some slick spots on roads, but it’s not likely to accumulate, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday will start cloudy but should become sunnier throughout the day, but it’ll still be breezy with a high temperature of just 45 degrees.

Wednesday will be sunny and warmer, hitting 53 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday has a 50 percent chance of rain and will be cloudy, with a high of 52 degrees.

But Friday will again be sunny and is expected to hit 50 degrees.
